The Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during its 34th Commemoration on Sunday. Choirs from Newark Junior High School and Newark Memorial High School will perform. Newark Mayor Dave Smith, Union City Mayor Mark Green and Fremont Mayor Bob Wasserman are expected to attend this Tri-City celebration of civil rights.
