
A free screening of the informative and inspirational HBO movie, Journey Into Dyslexia, by Academy Award Winning filmmakers, Alan and Susan Raymond, will be shown January 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Newark.
The showing, sponsored by the Stellar Academy for Dyslexics in Newark, will be followed by a panel discussion.
The movie profiles both children and adults with dyslexia who struggled through school, but succeeded in life. The filmmakers delve into the complexities of dyslexia and address myths and stereotypes that surround it.

Notable adults with dyslexia profiled in the film include consumer activist Erin Brokovich, Ben Foss the inventor of the Intel Reader, and Dr. Carol Greider who was the 2009 Nobel Laureate in Physiology and Medicine.
Panelists who will speak after the film include members of the Northern California Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.
