Putting It Together: A Broadway Mashup

After 35 years of Summer theater and arts Ohlone College's theater and dance department lost their funding for Summerfest. Summerfest was a Summer program that brought a full scale musical and other concerts and events to the Newark/Fremont community.

Now, the students are fighting back. They are led by Ohlone College's very own theater and dance and music staff and faculty on a mission to bring Summerfest back to this community and they need your support. They are taking the best of the past shows and hopes for the future of the program, and "putting it together" in a musical mashup. Music from shows such as Miss Saigon, Hairspray, Grease, and Rent as well as many others will be featured in this one weekend run. All of the performers are cast from past shows and current students at Ohlone College. Share a night in the outdoor amphitheater with friends and family as you enjoy in the talent of you local community.
