Grace Rankin, a noted multimedia artist, will demonstrate watercolor painting on Yupo January 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fremont Art Association Centre.
Yupo has been described, by some artists, as an "impossible surface" on which to paint and consists of glossy synthetic paper customarily used in printing.
The free event is open to the public and depending upon time constraints the audience may be able to try out the technique.

The artist's works are displayed in many public facilities and collectors of her creations include Clint Eastwood.
The January 4 event will be followed by a two-day workshop taught by the artist January 21 & 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the Fremont Art Association Centre.
