Missing Newark Woman Found In Fremont
The 89-year-old woman walked away from her home in her pajamas early this morning. (Breaking)

NEWARK, CA — The community and police in both Newark and Fremont mobilized quickly when they received word that an 89-year-old woman was missing. She has been found an reunited with her family.
She was missing for about four hours, which must have seemed like an eternity to her family.
Newark Police say Augustina walked away from her home at about 6:30, wearing pajamas and a sweater. She only speaks Spanish.

According to Detective Sgt. David Higbee, "An alert citizen in the City of Fremont, located Augustina just a short while ago. She has been taken to a local hospital as a precaution and has been reunited with her family. This was a collaborative effort between NPD, FPD and residents in both cities. We Thank You!"
Fremont Police sent a K-9 certified in tracking to help the search and the Newark Police RAVENS also responded to the initial call.
