Newark Ducklings Down The Drain

Firefighters rescued the darling ducklings so they could be reunited with the distressed momma.

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County firefighters came to the rescue of some tiny ducklings that had fallen through the grate if a storm drain. The delicate operation took place at Cherry Street and Baine Avenue in Newark.

The firefighters were pressed into action ‪shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday.

If this all sounds familiar, last week firefighters performed a similar rescue in Dublin.

In another month, ducklings around the Bay Area will be too big to fall through grates, much to the relief of momma ducks.
