Newark Police Make Kids' Day

NEWARK, CA — Last weekend Newark Police held a Pokemon meetup. On Thursday they turned their attention to little kids, with a Kids Day In The Park.

You just need to look at the smiling faces above to know that it was a hit.

And residents appreciate their police department, with many positive comments posted on Facebook. Barbara Giambona wrote, "Way to go NPD! You are awesome!"

Carmen Diaz added, "My grandsons were there and that's all I heard about once I picked them up from summer camp!!! They loved it!! Thank you Newark PD."

Tina Holyoake summed up the responses, "....love you all and appreciate your service!"
