Pedestrian Killed in Tri-City Crash

Police are seeking witnesses. Investigators believe other drivers saw the crash.

A pedestrian was killed on Fremont Boulevard this morning in a crash that was initially labeled hit-and-run. However, police say the driver has returned to the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

It happened at around 6:40 a.m. Police found the man lying on the shoulder of the road. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

One lane of Fremont Boulevard, between Ice House and Old Warm Springs Road, is expected to remain closed until noon as investigators complete their probe of the crash.
