Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Officer K. Snow at (510) 790-6800, ext. 2536.

Fremont police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a man in the city’s Irvington District on Friday evening. The hit-and-run occurred around 5:55 p.m. Friday near High and Main streets.

The victim, a Fremont resident, was standing to the rear of his work truck and was gathering items from a storage box when a vehicle traveling south struck him with its right side view mirror, police said. The driver of the vehicle continued south without stopping and remains at large. The mirror that broke off from the car and was found at the scene appears to be from a Hyundai vehicle, possibly a dark-colored Santa Fe SUV, according to police. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Officer K. Snow at (510) 790-6800, ext. 2536.
