Turkey On A Light Pole: Photo Of The Day

We often see turkeys strolling streets and hillsides, but here's proof that they use their wings!

NEWARK, CA — If you like to take drives in the hills or go hiking, you likely run across wild turkeys. They are also frequently seen in suburban neighborhoods around the Bay Area, usually strolling along. This photo from Barbara Borrego is different, as she explains, "A wild turkey named Eleanor on a light pole in Newark, amidst the trees at dusk." Nice name!
