Where to Drop Off Your Mail-in Ballot

Don't take a chance on mailing the ballot--it has to be in the hands of election officials on election day. The postmark does not count.

You’re a civic-minded citizen who has studied the issues, read about the candidates and ordered your mail-in ballot. But there it sits--in your house instead of on its way to the Registrar of Voters.

At this point it’s better to drop off your ballot rather than mail it. It must be in the hands of election officials before the polls close on election day--a postmark is not good enough.

If you wait until election day you can drop it at any polling place in Alameda County. Or, during regular business hours on Monday and Tuesday, drop it at Newark City Hall, 37101 Newark Blvd., 94560.
