COSTA MESA, CA —Students of Estancia High School received an ominous social media threat reading, "Don't go to school tomorrow." The post bore a picture of an individual with what looked like a rifle and was "shared on multiple social media sites," according to Costa Mesa police.

The threat was the second post in two days, indicating a possible "mass shooting" at Estancia High School would occur on Friday.

Both Newport Mesa Unified School District and Costa Mesa Police worked diligently to identify possible suspects, according to Costa Mesa Police spokeswoman Roxi Fyad. Two were arrested, including a 17-year-old girl, currently a student at Estancia High School, and another, Lenny Vega, who is not a high school student and never attended the school.
