4 Ruby's Diner Restaurants File For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
The famed 50s-style restaurant chain that occupies many pristine southern California locations will remain open for business this Labor Day.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Four of the 32 restaurants in the Ruby's Diner chain have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to court documents. The four restaurants are located in Huntington Beach, Laguna Hills, Oceanside and Palm Springs, according to the debt restructuring company Donlin Recano.
"The debt restructuring will have no impact to the stores or employees," Jennifer Mercer, Donlin Recano's vice president and a spokesperson for the restaurants, told Patch. "This all goes on behind the scenes." According to Mercer, none of the above mentioned restaurants were expected to close and no layoffs were planned as of this report.
As for Ruby's Diner, it will be business as usual over Labor Day Weekend, and the restaurant will honor the "kids eat free" deal with the purchase of an adult meal, according to social media accounts.
