Two Inland Empire men have now received multi-year federal prison sentences and multimillion-dollar restitution orders for orchestrating the $16 million fraud.
• OC Jeweler Made $1.7M In Fake Rolex Sales Targetting OC And LA Victims (patch.com) — A fraud case tied to Newport Beach has ended with a five-year prison sentence for an Orange County jeweler who admitted stealing nearly $1.7 million through fake Rolex sales. Authorities say he took upfront payments from dozens of buyers in Orange and Los Angeles counties, never delivered the watches, and then kept the money even after promising refunds.
