The piece explains recent FDA approvals, clinical trial results, and why adoption of this noninvasive treatment has remained slower than expected despite promising outcomes and manageable side effects.
   

• Apple Defrauded Out Of More Than $16M By IE Men, Sentences Handed Down (patch.com) — Newport Beach's Apple Store was among several Southern California locations hit in a years-long scheme where counterfeit iPhones and iPads were swapped for genuine devices, then resold. Two Inland Empire men have now received multi-year federal prison sentences and multimillion-dollar restitution orders for orchestrating the $16 million fraud.
   

• OC Jeweler Made $1.7M In Fake Rolex Sales Targetting OC And LA Victims (patch.com) — A fraud case tied to Newport Beach has ended with a five-year prison sentence for an Orange County jeweler who admitted stealing nearly $1.7 million through fake Rolex sales. Authorities say he took upfront payments from dozens of buyers in Orange and Los Angeles counties, never delivered the watches, and then kept the money even after promising refunds.
