4 Suspects Arrested In Costa Mesa After Extensive Search
Costa Mesa Police asked all to avoid the area of Sonora Road and Drake Avenue as officers search for multiple suspects.
COSTA MESA, CA — Costa Mesa police arrested four potentially armed suspects who fled a vehicle at a traffic stop Monday.
Officers are looking for suspects on the ground and from the air, by helicopter, officials say.
Residents were asked to avoid the area of Sonora Road and Drake Avenue, west of the 73 and 55 freeways, during a police investigation and search.

Suspicious activity was reported to the Costa Mesa Police shortly before 12:30 p.m. in the area of Sonora and Drake, according to department spokeswoman Roxi Fyad.
Details are still being released on the nature of that activity. However, the suspects abandoned the vehicle, leading to the search, she said.
