Auditions for Upcoming OCC Musical "Urinetown" are March 16, 18

The Orange Coast College theatre department will hold auditions for the College's upcoming production of "Urinetown" on March 16 and 18

The Orange Coast College theatre department will hold auditions for the College’s upcoming production of “Urinetown” on Monday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in the College’s Drama Lab Theatre.

The auditions are open to students, faculty and staff, as well as the general public. Auditioners should bring two copies of sixteen bars of a song from a musical to perform. Auditioners also are encouraged to bring a photo and resume, and a copy of their schedule.

Urinetown is a satirical comedy written in 2001 by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis. The story pokes fun at heavier themes such as capitalism and corporate mismanagement, and parodies several well-known musicals. OCC’s production will be directed by Ann Marie Byrd, and the performances will run from May 8 until May 17.
