Back To School Across Orange County: Did You Celebrate Like This?
Orange County has officially gone back to school, and moms and dads are celebrating. Remember these traffic tips as you race back for GoT.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Yes, it's back to school time in Newport Beach and moms across Orange County have 6 hours of free time. Okay, so more than likely that's not true. Still, in order to celebrate Back to School time, you have to get to school safely.
According to Newport Beach Police Department, "traffic safety belongs to ALL of us; let's be a little more patient and responsible on the roads," they said in a recent tweet.
"Teachers and other school staff are teaming up to make a real difference for the kids in their care... and WE can all work together to make a real difference in keeping those kids safe as they bike, skateboard, and walk on our streets," Newport Beach Police information officer Jennifer Manzella said over Facebook.

Traffic Safety belongs to *all of us* - every motorist, bicyclist, and pedestrian. Be responsible, be courteous, be patient, be aware... and let's make sure that everyone gets to school (or wherever their destination may be) safely.
"To start the school year off on the right track, NBPD traffic staff and Volunteers will be spending their mornings and afternoons in school zones throughout the city this week," Manzella said. "Motor Officers will be doing increased enforcement for parking and driving violations. And we'll be keeping an eye out for the safety of everyone on the road. Will you do the same?"

Parents with a little more experience might feel a bit more stress at the school drop off line while waiting for newbie moms and dads to learn the ropes, but remember, take a breath and relax before you send your little one on their way.

We know you need to get home to watch "Game of Thrones," but in the mean time, drive safe at drop off and pick up, and enjoy your first week back at school.
And remember, the number one drop off line rule?
Pull forward.
Thanks to the Holderness family for making moms across Orange County laugh on the first day of school.
