Contraband Selfie Stick Shuts Down Ride at Disney's California Adventure
A rider used a selfie stick, which is banned in the Magic Kingdom, on the California Screamin' roller coaster, forcing a two-hour closure.
ANAHEIM, CA - A rider's selfie stick prompted operators to halt the California Screamin' roller coaster at Disney California Adventure today.
The ride was stopped about 5:10 p.m. and was shut down for around two hours after a male rider pulled out the banned item, a Disney representative told The Orange County Register.
"That's just normal procedure," spokeswoman Suzie Brown told the newspaper.
