Costa Mesa Resident ID'd In Irvine Car-To-Car Shooting
Irvine Police Friday were looking for three suspects involved in a shooting that killed one 19-year-old man.
IRVINE, CA — Authorities Friday were searching for three people involved in a car-to-car shooting in Irvine that killed one person.
The shooting was reported at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Athel Avenue and Sego Street, according to a previous Patch report.
The victim — later identified as 19-year-old Costa Mesa resident Nicholas Alistair Neaimi-Pour — was shot in the passenger seat of one of the two cars, Irvine Police Department Sgt. Karie Davies said.

According to authorities, Neaimi-Pour — who would have celebrated his birthday Aug. 15 — managed to get out of the Mercedes-Benz he was in, and neighbors tried to aid him until first responders arrived to the scene.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes' driver fled along with the driver and passenger, who shot the victim from a white Honda, according to Davies.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, Davies said."He was definitely targeted," Davies said of the victim.
Police suspect it was a "pre-arranged meet-up spot" for those involved, she added.
