East Coast Faherty Brand Hits Newport Beach's Newest Coture Shop

NEWPORT BEACH, CA—Beachwear is best defined as relaxed, contemporary garments that fit your lifestyle, and a perfect place to shop for beach-inspired fashions is Newport Beach's newest luxury waterfront-shopping destination. On August 24, the trendsetting beach style Faherty comes to Newport Beach in a boutique setting in the unique waterfront shopping district known for luxury shopping, waterside dining and village charm.

The Lido Marina Village, located on Via Oporto in Newport Beach, also is home to popular brands, such as Claire V., Aesop, and Planet Blue. Faherty stays true to the ocean theme with the interior design of their newest location with vintage nautical ambiance in the cozy 625-square-foot space. Overhead beams inside the store are hand painted by Los Angeles artist Abel Macias, who is accenting the beams with bright blue fish designs. The reclaimed wood, archival photographs, vintage surfboards and maritime antiques are a perfect backdrop to the yummy fabrics of the Faherty beach wear.

Casual, contemporary clothing, created from sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, true indigo dye and signature swimwear created from recycled plastic bottles. Faherty creates their swimwear with sustainable recycled polyester, a fiber created from re-purposed plastic bottles.

"We then spin the recycled poly with a touch of cotton creating a more breathable fabric," the Faherty Brand stated on their Instagram page. The fabric is finished with Durable Water Repellent for quick dry properties.

Faherty creates clothes that you can live in with their brand that has become synonymous with "beachy" since 2013, when identical twin brothers launched their namesake business. The brothers--who grew up on the beaches of Spring Lake, New Jersey and are both surf enthusiasts--set out to design a collection of year-round clothes for men and women. For their inspiration, they selected relaxed, lived-in fabrics combined with high-quality craftsmanship, all priced between $58 and $250.

Newport Beach is a natural location for the newest in Faherty stores, according to Alex Faherty, Faherty Brand co-founder.
