Fiery 405 Freeway Crash Kills 1 Thursday Morning: SigAlert
The crash was reported at 12:56 a.m. Thursday and resulted in an hours-long investigation that lasted through the morning.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — At least one person died early Thursday morning after a fiery crash between two vehicles on the 405 Freeway traveling through Costa Mesa, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash was initially reported at 12:56 a.m. on the freeway traveling southbound near Harbor Boulevard, according to preliminary reports. The status and identity of the injured person is not currently known.
The collision prompted officials to close several lanes of the freeway through Thursday morning, and a SigAlert was issued for at least four lanes of the freeway at 7:39 a.m. The SigAlert is expected to last an hour.
