Firefighters Rescue Duck Family Trapped in Storm Drain

Somehow, a family of ducks made it into a storm drain but couldn't get out again without a little help.

Firefighters this weekend rescued a family of ducklings from a storm drain in Costa Mesa where they became trapped.

Firefighters were summoned about 8 p.m. Saturday to the 3300 block of Hyland Avenue, according to the Costa Mesa Fire Department, which tweeted photos of the rescue.

It took about 30 minutes to free the ducks.
