First Bank Announces Key Hires In California Region
Steven Fiata, Joseph Jeong will help lead First Bank's retail, business banking
To spearhead First Bank’s retail and business banking efforts in the California region, First Bank has hired Steven Fiata and Joseph Jeong.
Fiata’s office will be located at First Bank’s Newport Beach, California branch (4301 MacArthur Blvd) while Jeong will be at the bank’s Encino office (17000 Ventura Blvd, Ste. 103).

Fiata will serve as First Bank’s Senior Vice President, California Retail Banking Manager and National Business Banking Sales Manager.
In his new role, Fiata will be responsible for First Bank’s retail banking business and the direct management of the California branch staff as well as the national Business Banking sales force.

Fiata, who has more than 38 years of banking and finance experience, joins First Bank from Citibank.
Fiata attended Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s CBA Graduate School of Retail Bank Management.
He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chapter of Junior Achievement and a former Board Member of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, and Wall Street Rising, a non-profit organization dedicated to reviving New York City after 9/11.
Fiata lives in Rancho Santa Margarita in Orange County, California.
About Joseph Jeong
Jeong will serve as Senior Vice President, Business Banking Group Manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the California business banking group as well as managing a team of business banking relationship managers and supporting First Bank’s California branch network.
He joins First Bank from City National Bank and has more than 12 years of banking and finance experience. Jeong has a JD from Southwestern University School of Law and a bachelor’s in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
Jeong is a member of the Pasadena Bar Association, where he provides pro bono legal services for the low-income community.
