First Bank Steps Up For Women in Orange County
First Bank's Susan Montoya and Silvia Zada on July 14 taught a financial literacy class for New Directions for Women in Orange County.
To help more women transform their lives, First Bank’s Susan Montoya and Silvia Zada on July 14 taught a financial literacy class for New Directions for Women in Orange County, California.
Montoya is Senior Vice President, Corporate CRA Officer for First Bank. Zada is the Branch Manager at First Bank’s Costa Mesa location.
Approximately 20 women took part in the class that focused on basic budgeting and money matters.

“It is very rewarding to be a part of the change in someone’s life,” said Montoya. “The women were engaged and grateful for having this opportunity to learn a much needed skill.”
Founded in 1977, New Directions for Women http://www.newdirectionsforwomen.org/ is a treatment facility that was created in response to a shortage of affordable and accessible rehabilitation treatment services for women suffering from alcoholism, substance abuse and other chemical dependency problems.
