Freedom Riders from Newport Police Department Pulled Over by Oregon Cops
On their ten day ride from Grants Pass to Newport Beach to raise awareness for Human Trafficking, the NBPD riders were pulled over by cops!

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach Police Officer pace car rider Deputy Chief David McGill had a scare yesterday when he saw red lights in his rear view mirror. McGill is following the Newport Police Detective Jason Prince on his ten day bike ride to help raise awareness for Human Trafficking.
The pair had made a stop at the Grants Pass Oregon Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, yesterday to have breakfast and meet with Chief Bill Landis, Deputy Chief Jim Hamilton, Lieutenant Todd Moran, and Lieutenant Dennis Ward," according to NBPD information officer Jennifer Manzella. "They took a couple photos with an armored vehicle before heading out of town, with a police escort from Officer Scott "Skippy" Williams."
About twenty miles later, Deputy Chief David McGill found himself getting pulled over.

"It wasn't for a traffic violation, though," Manzella said. "It turns out that the team's photographer had left a camera behind in Grants Pass, and Officer Williams had caught up with the Freedom Ride crew to return it."
The Newport Beach Police Department was grateful to the Grant's Pass Department of Public Safety for their hospitality and is no en route to Happy Camp, California.
