Incumbents! What does that word mean to you?

Here are some word which might remind you of YOUR incumbent.

The continual argument for incumbency is that anyone who has been in the job for a certain amount of time has "institutional knowledge". In other words because of their vast experience (and the word vast means anything incumbents generally want it to mean) no one could possibly take their place.

The arguments against are generally: Institutional knowledge doesn’t always make the incumbent smarter or more knowledgeable. A fresh face and intelligence is often what is needed. When someone has been in a position for a long time, they often forget what they are actually there for, and succumb to their old ways of doing things. Sometimes it becomes an old boy situation which leads occasionally to corruption or at least looking the other way in the face of corruption.

Here are some words that might work with incumbency: Think about them in terms of your incumbents….
