Newport Beach AI Company Changing The Face Of Toys

A Newport Beach company is changing the way kids interact with toys. Now, with the CURO and Cubroid platform STEM kids can code robots.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — CURO is coming, and the enterprising minds behind this new AI interactive wireless modular robotics set will teach young, STEM minded kids how to program, according to the minds behind the Leggo type wireless robotics product.

If you are a parent of a STEM kid, you'll know that their toys are just getting more in depth and interesting. CURO hopes to join that market with a little robot you can program, build and play with, no wires attached.

The AI model is easy to use and fun, but is also technologically advanced. Think, if your Alexa or Google Home had a face.

Cubroid started with interlocking blocks and has grown into a smart AI toy called CURO. This interactive wireless robot is paired with a smartphone app and hopes to change the way that kids play.

"In the technologically advanced world that we live in today, coding & AI education has become increasingly important," says Founder and CEO, Mark Shin, who has leveraged a background in educational technology. "We have looked to classic toy items to bring a productive and valuable idea to life."

Unlike other educational coding and AI products, CURO is impressively easy-to-use and fun. There are two distinct types of building blocks that exhibit unique features. Each box houses a wireless module and camera and microphone and LCD display and speaker and motor, and the connecting features of the blocks function through wireless communication. The blocks encourage creativity, as they can be assembled in various fashions and intelligent robots can be created.

CURO is paired with a control coding smartphone & pc web application that enhances the educational aspect of the product. Children can use the application to engage with and prompt movement in their unique block structures. Additionally, a more advanced online AI program, Platform (Smart Toy AI platform), is available to be explored by those who want to take their coding & AI skills to the next level.

The paired programs and applications can be connected via Wi-Fi and do not involve complicated installation procedures.
Jason Kwak, the CTO at Cubroid, adds, "Our kit is multidimensional, and we truly believe that children will genuinely enjoy learning through CURO. We have thoughtfully designed the blocks and the programs with the optimal user experience in mind."

Pre-orders of CURO are available from June of 2018 on Kickstarter, and it is a consumer-ready product.
