Newport Beach Children's Center Fundraiser Planned For Playground
The Christ Church Children's Center is seeking support to repair their playground through a series of fundraisers.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A Newport non-profit school needs some extra help to replace funds used to upgrade their playground.
Christ Church by the Sea in Newport Beach is a Methodist school and pre-school that focuses on raising kids in a nurturing Christian atmosphere. According to spokesperson Jill Ritchie Musser, they are desperately in need of re-asphalting the playground.
"We are part of an amazing community, serving children from 2-years-old to 12-years-old," she said in a GoFundMe established to raise funds for the playground project.

After estimates for repairs were received, "the scope of the project was twice the amount we were hoping for," Ritchie-Musser said. "We used money from an emergency fund and it is our hope to pay every cent back."
The non-profit school relies on parent-paid tuition to cover their budget, she said.

"We are encouraged by those who support us, and even to raise a portion of the cost is a huge blessing," she said. Fundraising efforts now include a "Parent's Night Out" Friday Nov. 9 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Cruiser's Pizza Bar and Grill will host that event which will be a "kid free night out to mix and mingle." There will be pizza, drinks, raffle prizes and a silent auction. That fundraiser is $30 per person.
