Newport Beach: Job Fair At Laguna Hills Mall Expected To Draw Hundreds

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Newport Beach job seekers, this one's for you.

South Orange County residents have the opportunity to meet with future employers in one swoop. On Thursday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. employers will be on hand to meet, greet and possibly even interview future employees at the Laguna Hills Mall thanks to Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett and the Orange County Development Board.

Veterans will receive priority registration, according to release. Job Fair attendants will receive free resume critique. If you go, you are encouraged to bring multiple copies of your resume and to dress professionally.

Expect to meet employers from all types of businesses across south Orange County, including banking, car dealerships, resort hotel properties, Lisa Burns Orange County One Stop Center.

"We are pretty much at max capacity as far as employers," Burns said. "We open this event to all, IT to engineering, to manager positions and customer service. We are geared toward hospitality and construction, as well."

Orange County One Stop Center provides job search services to job seekers. The candidates can come to the center at no cost, using the computers and printers to view job boards. More detailed and advanced help for career changes is also available through the center.

"We will have a salary negotiation workshop on June 1, at 10 a.m. to teach people how to properly negotiate what salary you want," Burns said.

Attendants will receive free parking and free admission to the event.
