Newport Beach Pharmacy Is Latest Target in Rash of Burglaries
A Newport Beach pharmacy was broken into early Tuesday morning.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Police were investigating a break-in early this morning at a pharmacy in Newport Beach and sought to determine if there was a connection to a rash of pharmacy burglaries several weeks ago.
The burglary at the Best Choice Pharmacy at 4229 Birch St. was reported at 1:29 a.m., according to Newport Beach police Sgt. D. Joe.
"We don't know yet what they stole," Joe said before dawn today. "The people at the drug store are still doing inventory to determine that."

Joe said it was too early to say whether this burglary was in any way connected to a rash of pharmacy burglaries that occurred throughout Orange County several weeks ago.
"That will have to be determined by the investigation," Joe said.
