Newport Harbor Elks Feed First Responders

Elk Volunteers prepare and deliver over 400 food boxes to Costa Mesa and Newport Beach First Responders

On May 6 at 11 am, volunteers from Newport Harbor Elks Lodge in Newport Beach purchased enough food to prepare and deliver 260 boxed lunches to Roxi Fyad, Public Information Officer with the City of Costa Mesa Police Department. The City of Costa Mesa has a community room at City Hall where representatives from agencies like police, firefighters, water and power companies and other first responders come to pick up much needed prepared meals. City Council Aide Ivis D. Torres said, "Thank you so much, for taking the time to make these delicious sandwiches! We can tell these sandwiches were made with lots of love and we are all very grateful for your support!"

The Elk volunteers will do the same for Newport Beach Police Department’s First Responders on May 9. The Elk volunteers will deliver about 100 prepared box lunches and dinners.

Newport Harbor Elks Lodge is prepared to provide more deliveries as these organizations request. The volunteers are glad to help these deserving men and women working to keep us all safe. Elks Care… Elks Share!
