Members of the community are invited to do their Christmas shopping at Orange Coast College's annual Mudslingers Holiday Ceramics Sale

Members of the community are invited to do their Christmas shopping at Orange Coast College’s annual Mudslingers Holiday Ceramics Sale on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on both days, and will be located in the College’s Art Center, room 113. Shoppers will find hundreds of unique items at the event, ranging from functional to sculptural and decorative objects.
The OCC Mudslingers Holiday Ceramics Sale has been an exclusive and well-run event since 1999 when then Mudslingers became the official name for the Ceramics Club on campus. However, students have sold their ceramic work at OCC for more than 40 years.

“Students have worked hard throughout the summer, on into this fall preparing for the sale," says ceramics instructor Kevin Myers. “Eighty-five percent of the proceeds go to the student and 15 percent goes to the Mudslingers Ceramic Club. These funds enable the ceramics program to purchase equipment that is necessary to maintain a high degree of studio integrity. It also motivates our students to continue making work as well as learning how to interact with the community and keeping our program visible campus wide.”
