OCC’s 17th Annual Summer Sailstice Celebration Scheduled for June 24
Orange Coast College's School of Sailing and Seamanship will host its annual Discover Sailing and Summer Sailstice Celebration on June 24.

Orange Coast College’s School of Sailing and Seamanship will host its annual Discover Sailing and Summer Sailstice Celebration on Saturday, June 24, from noon to 4 p.m.
The afternoon will include fun, food and sailing at the school’s Newport Beach waterfront facility at 1801 W. Coast Hwy. Admission is free and open to the public.
Those in attendance will have a chance to sail aboard one of OCC’s sailboats, and the school also will be raffling off a certificate for a free beginning sailing class, youth summer sailing camp or safe powerboat class.

“This event is dedicated to getting new sailors on the water and for others to re-discover sailing on the longest sailing day of the year,” said Sailing Program Coordinator Mette Segerblom. “If you’ve never sailed before, or want to share sailing with a non-sailor, this day is for you!”
