OCC Student Dance Concert Features Wide Range of Styles

Thirty student dancers will perform everything from tap to hip hop routines in Orange Coast College’s annual Student Dance Concert Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.

The program features a wide range of dance styles, including modern, jazz, hip hop, ballet and tap. The works were choreographed by both OCC dance faculty and choreography students, who began preparing for the show last semester.

“We have a number of extremely talented students who will perform and choreograph for the last time at OCC — they will be transferring to the Cal State Long Beach dance program this fall,” says dance instructor and concert coordinator Amelie Hunter.

Advance tickets are on sale on www.occtickets.com or in the Bursar’s Office for $10. Admission will be $15 at the door.
