Orange Coast College is offering free estate planning workshops during its Fall 2017 semester to members of the local community

Orange Coast College is offering free estate planning workshops during its Fall 2017 semester to members of the local community who are interested in planning for their futures.

The first session of the “It’s Your Estate” workshop series is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 22 from 10–11:30 a.m. in the College’s Student Center classroom, and will include a personal assessment. Weekly workshops will delve into more complex topics and include valuable information on topics such as “Long Term Care” and “Equity Investing.”

OCC’s “It’s Your Estate” seminar series will be presented by Peter Kote, who started the series when he was employed by Cal State Long Beach in the 1990s. Kote’s goal is to avoid the predatory sales practices of the financial service industry that are often part of these types of events. Attendee names will not be given or sold to the presenters or anyone else.
