​Orange County's Finest Landscapers and Landscape Projects Honored at the 2017 Beautification Awards

Newport Beach landscape professionals and projects received prestigious honors for commercial and residential properties

The Orange County chapter of the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) recently held their 2017 Beautification Awards honoring 18 local landscape contractors for excellence in landscape installation and maintenance, and demonstrating the best quality, construction, originality, and attention to detail on projects completed within the last year. A total of 46 awards were presented in 23 categories culled from 76 entries, which encompassed residential and commercial landscape construction, maintenance and renovation, along with water features, outdoor lighting and water-saving California-friendly landscaping.

Local award winners for Newport Beach included

-Bemus Landscape who operates out of Newport Beach won an award for the One Ford Road Project in Newport Beach.
-Roger’s Gardens Landscape who operates out of Corona del Mar won multiple awards this year including:
+The Gordon project in Newport Beach
+The Werbin project in Newport Beach
+The Colbaugh project in Newport Beach
-Richard Cohen who operates out of Lake Forest, won multiple awards for the Canori project in Newport Beach.
-Visionscape who operates out of Laguna Beach won multiple awards this year including
+The Tucker project in Newport Beach.
+The McFarland Villa project in Newport Beach
+The Youngman project in Newport Beach
-Terra Prima, Inc. who operates out of Corona del Mar won multiple awards this year for the Strelow project in Newport Beach.
-DMA Greencare Contracting, Inc. who operates out of Anaheim won an award for the Newport Beach Country Club project in Newport Beach.

Award entries are judged by a panel of expert CLCA members who closely inspect each nomination for the quality of workmanship and materials utilized. Each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have demonstrated proper execution. The judges for this year’s Beautification Awards are:

CLCA is an active force in the statewide effort to conserve water. As water-efficient irrigation experts, many members are invaluable sources for consultations on planning and installing water-saving irrigation systems.
