Pair Arrested in Stabbing of Newport Beach Man
A man and a woman were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stabbing a 25-year-old Newport Beach man.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - A man and woman suspected in the stabbing of a 25- year-old man in a Costa Mesa motel were behind bars today, police reported.
Adrian Ramey Hall, 25, of Norwalk, and Passhunae Nemiesha Ruff, 23, of Long Beach were both booked on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at $500,000, according to Orange County jail records.
The victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed about 4 a.m. Monday at a Motel 6 at 2274 Newport Blvd. He was hospitalized, but was expected to survive.

The victim met Ruff at the motel and the two got into an argument about money, according to Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman. When Ruff attempted to leave, the two got into a struggle as the victim tried to get his money back from her, Beckman said.
Ruff returned to the motel with Hall and they confronted the victim, which led to the stabbing, Beckman alleged.

Police recovered the knife in a trash can at a motel in Fullerton where Ruff and Hall were staying, Beckman said.
