The Newport Beach Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body along the shore today.The body was discovered at 8:52 a.m behind 303 43rd St. He was later identified as Daniel Baillie, 47, according to the Orange County Coroner's Division.A place of residence for Baillie was not listed. An autopsy will be scheduled for later in the week, a division official said.A watch commander for the Newport Beach Police Department and Jennifer Manzella, the department's public information officer, could not be reached for immediate comment.City News Service
