Rapper DMX Claims Woman Stole $30K Watch. She Claims He Sexually Assaulted Her

A woman was arrested at a Costa Mesa hotel for allegedly stealing a $30,000 watch from DMX, whom she claims sexually assaulted her.

COSTA MESA, CA - Rapper DMX allegedly had his watch stolen by a woman he met in Hollywood, who later accused him of sexually assaulting her in a Costa Mesa hotel today.

The "Party Up (Up In Here)" singer, whose real name is Earl Simmons, 45, alleged that the woman, whose name was withheld, stole his wristwatch and cash.

Police responded to an argument between the two in front of the Ayres Hotel & Suites Costa Mesa, 325 Bristol St., at 6:44 a.m. and arrested the woman for suspicion of grand theft, according to Costa Mesa police Lt. Greg Scott.

While in handcuffs, the woman alleged that Simmons had sexually assaulted her prior to officers' arrival, Scott said.

Police are investigating the sexual assault allegations against Simmons, who is not in custody.

The woman has since posted bail and was released from custody.

Sources close to the rapper, who starred in the action film "Romeo Must Die," told TMZ.com that he met the woman at a bar in Hollywood on Friday night and brought her and a group of people back to his hotel room. The celebrity news site reports his watch was valued at $30,000.
