Smoke Column Draws Flurry Of OC Firefighters To Santa Ana Blaze

Firefighters from Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and Fountain Valley joined Orange County Fire Authority in battling a Fairview Street fire.

SANTA ANA, CA — Multiple engines arrived to battle a Santa Ana structure fire Friday morning in the 2500 block of South Fairview Street, Orange County Fire Authority reported on X, formerly Twitter.

Firefighters from across Orange County witnessed the column of thick black smoke rising shortly before 9 a.m., according to OCFA.

Arriving firefighters initiated an "aggressive attack," but a second alarm was requested, drawing crews from Fountain Valley and Costa Mesa to provide additional fire impression support.

"Firefighters knocked down the fire in just 15 minutes," OCFA reported.

Fountain Valley Firefighters also assisted in the quick drowning of the Santa Ana blaze Friday morning.

The fire was confined to just one unit and firefighters managed to save the other businesses in that area. No other immediate information was available as to the cause of the fire or damages to the building.

According to the company's website, the building housed a medical device manufacturing facility.
