V and T Ballet Encore Gala on Saturday, June 25, 5:00 PM

On Saturday, June 25, 2016, V & T performers along with renowned guest artist, Skylar Campbell, will showcase their talent in a variety of pieces representing classical and contemporary styles in a spectacular Gala production. Golden State Dance Foundation (GSDF) is a non-profit junior ballet company for V & T Dance Academy located in Laguna Hills, CA. Silent auction and raffles are from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Gala performance is 5:00 – 7:00 PM and the Gala after party is from 7:30 – 9 PM. The event is located at Irvine Valley College Performing Arts Center at 5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA. The tickets are $50 and include the Gala after party with hors d’oeuvres and beverages.

Skylar Campbell was born in Laguna Beach, California and trained with Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky. During his training, Skyler was one of the top ten male finalists at the Prix de Lausanne and the Bronze Medal winner for Pas de Deux at the Youth America Grand Prix.

Skyler joined The National Ballet of Canada as a RBC Apprentice in 2009 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2015. Recently, Skyler debuted as White Rabbit in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet by Alexei Ratmansky and danced in the world premiere of Being and Nothingness by Guillaume Côté.

Reunions and the La Bayadere Variation performed at the Gala by Skylar Campbell have been made possible by the generosity of William J. Gillespie and through the kind courtesy of The National Ballet of Canada. Along with excerpts from Reunions, La Bayadere and Paquita, the Gala will feature a variety of ballet and contemporary dances that recently won numerous awards at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) regional and international competitions including the popular contemporary ensemble piece, ‘Unusual Proportions’.

V & T Dance Academy, started in 2008, is owned by Victor and Tatiana Kasatsky. The studio has won numerous Outstanding School, Teacher and Choreography awards at many regional and international dance competitions. The goal of GSDF is to provide opportunities for Orange County residents to affordably experience high quality performing arts and ballet. Many of their students have been awarded scholarships or been accepted by prestigious ballet companies around the U.S. and Europe. V & T Dance Academy will hold a summer intensive program from July 5 - July 29, 2016.
