Style Week Returns to Newport Beach's Fashion Island

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Fashionistas of Orange County, prepare to be amazed. STYLE WEEK OC is returning to Fashion Island Sept.15 through Sept. 17 with runway shows, in-store parties and meet and greets with top style bloggers to celebrate the best in O.C. style.

“We’re excited that STYLE WEEK OC will be partnering with some of SoCal’s most popular style and fashion influencers to help showcase all the exciting trends for fall from our considerable array of retailers,” said Easther Liu, chief marketing officer for Irvine Company Retail Properties.

On Thursday, Sept.15, O.C.’s only Neiman Marcus kicks off the three-day series of stylish events at Fashion Island with its own runway show at 6:30 p.m. featuring fall’s hottest trends from its top designer brands. While the runway show will be a private ticketed event to benefit Hoag Hospital, the show itself will still be viewable to the general public in the common area surrounding the runway. In-store parties that evening will be held at Brooks Brothers, G-Star, GARYS, Michael Stars and Vineyard Vines.

The Fashion Island Fall Runway Show at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept.16 will highlight the season’s most coveted looks from participating retailers such as Anthropologie,

Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Rebecca Taylor, Trina Turk, Elie Tahari and Halston Heritage. The runway show will be open to the public with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Then from 7 to 9 p.m., shoppers are invited to attend special in-store parties hosted by some of Southern California’s hottest style bloggers and influencers, including:

• Carrie Bradshaw Lied at Rebecca Taylor
• The Style Riot at Anthropologie
• Lyndi in the City at Halston Heritage
• My Style Diaries at Trina Turk
• Devon Rachel at Elie Tahari

From 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept.17, shoppers can enjoy more Style Week OC festivities with in-store parties and promotions at Modern Romance, Kendra Scott, SEE Eyewear, Vince Camuto and Joie.

All in-store parties will be open to the public. Additionally, shoppers who spend $500 at participating stores will receive $100 in Stylish Rewards.

Participating stores are Anthropologie, Rebecca Taylor, Elie Tahari, Halston Heritage, Trina Turk, Brooks Brothers, Michael Stars, GARYS, G-Star, Vineyard Vines, Modern Romance, Kendra Scott, SEE Eyewear, Vince Camuto and Joie.

Since it launched in 2008, the ninth annual Style Week Orange County continues the tradition of showcasing the latest looks from top retailers and notable style makers.

Past events have featured appearances by acclaimed designer Rachel Roy, celebrity personality Mario Lopez and celebrity designer and Orange County native Lauren Conrad.
