Swastikas Drawn On Locker At Corona Del Mar High School: Report

CORONA DEL MAR, CA — Authorities are investigating after swastikas were drawn on a locker at Corona del Mar High School, The Orange County Register reported.

The hate symbols were reported by the school district to the police over the weekend, the report said.

Newport-Mesa School District spokeswoman Annette Franco told the newspaper that the vandalism prompted Corona del Mar Middle and High School officials to create an interfaith council made up of students, parents, community members and local leaders to discuss what happened.

“This behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our schools,” Franco told The Orange County Register. “We are better than this.”
