Tire Blowout Causes Emergency Landing at John Wayne Airport
Passengers in a small plane escaped a bumpy landing unscathed.

A small plane blew a tire on landing at John Wayne Airport today, but the pilot was able to safely stop the air craft and avoid injury.
The Beechcraft Bonanza made the bumpy landing on Runway 20 left at 4:10 p.m., according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.
The right front tire was flattened on touch down, leading to a hydraulic leak, Concialdi said.
