Vineyard Vines Opens at Fashion Island

The store's first west coast location is situated in the Nordstrom Court.

Vineyard Vines has made its west coast debut at Fashion Island.

The Connecticut-based clothing company is well-known for its whimsical neckties and smiling pink whale logo, but it also brings Orange County shoppers a variety of clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

The store’s focal point is an actual transom and aft portion of a fishing boat that stages the check-out process. Designed exclusively for Vineyard Vines by Jarrett Bay Boatworks, one of the world’s premier boat builders, the fixture serves as the visual reinforcement of the brand’s representation of the finer places and things life has to offer.

“We could not be more excited to expand the brand to the west coast,” said co-founder Ian Murray. “The vineyard vines lifestyle lends itself to life on the coast— whether it’s the east or the west coast—and we’re thrilled to now be accessible to our customers in Southern California.”

Vineyard Vines was founded in 1998 by Ian and his brother, Shep, on Martha's Vineyard when the two decided to cut ties with corporate America.
