What happened at Estancia High School...
Sickening smell, and a geyser of sewage that blew up to the ceiling while students were in the classroom! For 8 years...the smell
For eight years the teachers at Estancia High School reported a sickening smell in the science rooms after Measure A was completed.
For 8 years the teachers reported the mess and were ignored and the smell continued. ( A geyser of sewage actually erupted in a classroom while the students were present) Steve mentions this in his video.
For 8 years teachers and STUDENTS endured these conditions.
We have questions:
1. Has the impact on student's health been identified and acted upon?
2. Is Newport Mesa School District verifiably sure that they have identified ALL the sewage issues? (geyser of sewage would indicate a blockage). No blockage has been mentioned in any report.
3. Was there willful negligence on the part of the district administrators and the Board of Education?
*** There needs to be a full independent investigation about what happened and who is responsible
*** The parents and students in that 8 year period need to be notified and informed of the possible harm to them as a result of them being in those classrooms daily.
Steve Crenshaw (science teacher at Estancia High School) is in the first video telling the story. It is only 4 minutes and 36 seconds long
Britt Dowdy (President of Nmft) is the second video. It is only 3 minutes and 44 seconds long.
Martha Fluor (Trustee) is in the third video with her reaction to being told that there is a 10 year Statute of Limitations for the Estancia sewage issue. It is 2 seconds long.
