• 'Triple Threat' Pumped Storage Hydro plus Solar, Storage and Biofuel Microgrids Supported by $73 million in PG&E Funding (microgridknowledge.com) — New pumped-storage hydro microgrids backed by PG&E funding are planned to serve North Lakeport and neighboring Clear Lake communities, aiming to keep lights on during outages and wildfires. The systems would combine solar, storage, and water tanks on hillsides to generate power, support the grid during peak hours, and provide extra water for firefighting while attracting additional investment to Lake County.
