Celebrate the release of the American West: A Very Short Introduction, authored by Steve Aron, the Western History Chair of the Autry Institute. Aron will outline how the book stretches the chronology, enlarges the geography, and varies the casting, providing a history of the American West that is longer, larger, and more complicated than popular culture has previously suggested—all in just 160 pages! After the presentation, enjoy a “very sweet” coffee and dessert reception. Advance copies of the book will be available for purchase.
