CHP Car rammed During Stolen Car Chase
Police are looking suspected car thieves who led officers on a violent chase before fleeing on foot.

A search was underway today for a suspect who rammed a California Highway Patrol cruiser during a vehicle pursuit while driving a stolen vehicle, then fled on foot in Sun Valley, authorities said.
Neither of the two officers in the cruiser were hurt, and the vehicle could still be driven, CHP Officer Peter Bishop said.
The confrontation occurred around 3:15 a.m. at the end of a 25-minute pursuit on the Hollywood (170) Freeway and surface streets in the eastern San Fernando Valley, Bishop said.

Bishop said the suspect abandoned the vehicle on railway tracks near the intersection of San Fernando Road, Strathern Street and Clybourn Avenue, by the north end of Bob Hope Airport, and ran away.
The vehicle, a white Honda Accord, was stolen, Bishop said.
